This is a community documentation project. Any material you submit will still belong to you, but by submitting it, you will be sharing it with the public for free use. The Appalachian Center will post appropriate submissions in the albums on the Post Office Project website, and is doing this as a public service, and not for any profit. If you are planning to take photos to submit that may include people, please open and print out the permission form before you do, so you can ask them to sign it if they give permission to have their picture posted on the site. You can e-mail submissions to Shane.Barton@uky.edu. Please attach Word files if you are sending written work; photo and audio files can be accepted in a variety of formats. If a file is too big to go through e-mail as an attachment, though, please call us at 859-257-4852 to talk about how to get your work to us. If you have original material that cannot be sent electronically, please call us so we can talk about how it might be scanned. If you have done original artwork or have historical documents to submit, for example, you might want to send in a photo or scan of it to share with others on the Post Office Project website.
Before any material that is determined to be appropriate for the site can be publicly posted, a signed copy of the permission form needs to be received by the Appalachian Center.
